Hello, my name is Kiera Oseman, and I’ve been passionate about expressing myself through the venues of performance and writing for as long as I can remember. My main goal as an actor and writer is to create characters and stories with a long lasting, impactful message.

For me, I find the most joy in creating my own original material: I’m always finding ways to put my own content out there, from long form YouTube videos to short form content on TikTok, and I love of process of fleshing out an idea to it’s full potential and making something that I’m proud of. Having multiple creative outlets is something which I’m glad to have the privilege to access so easily, and I’m excited to share more of my own ideas through these outlets in the future.

Whilst there are many things that drive me to fulfil my passions in the creative industries, I also face a number of challenges such as not being able to find a stable source of income and being limited to where I can travel due to not having the funds. Despite these obstacles being challenging, I see these as opportunities for learning, which in turn will push me into a position where these current challenges won’t be a problem anymore.

Throughout my time in the industry, one of the moments I’m most proud of is participating in my first paid role as an actor for BBC’s Phoenix Rise; the atmosphere on set was amazing and I loved every minute of working on that programme. The 3am early morning starts and long commutes from one side of the West Midlands to another was worth it in the end, and it proved to myself that I have the willpower to get through anything in this industry that could be a potential set back.

I’ve also participated in many projects in the likes of one shot films, mockumentaries and the world of theatre, all of which help to showcase my different strengths as both a performer and script writer. All of these experiences remind me of all the obstacles that I’ve had to face throughout my years in this industry, and it helps me to remember what progress I can still make from the position I’m in right now.
